Fascinating colours!

green painting

Colours are a really exciting topic. I’m always very happy when I can share this fascination. As the social media channels are very limited in terms of the number of hits, I thought about starting a blog on this topic.

I would like to take the finishing of my new green picture as an opportunity to explain in more detail the wonderful possibility of conscious colour observation using the colour green. After all, colourful pictures not only create an appealing aesthetic on the wall, but can also influence your own mood and well-being through conscious colour observation.

How can colours help me?

Each colour has a specific wavelength (in this case green with a wavelength of ≈ 500 – 560 nm), which can produce a specific effect.

Sometimes we lose our balance, be it due to too little sleep, stress, too little sunlight or arguments. There are many reasons and triggers that can shake your mood and well-being. Conscious colour observation is a gentle method of bringing yourself back into balance. Depending on the imbalance, you can choose the right colour for you. For example, green helps if you want to find new hope, are facing a new beginning, have a desire for harmony and balance or need to relax.

A conscious contemplation of the colour green is particularly helpful here. Take a moment to find a room where you are undisturbed. Relax and look at the coloured picture for about 10 minutes. The pictures are structured in such a way that the eye can wander over the coloured surface and discover interesting details. Try to look at the colours regularly in as relaxed a position as possible. You will notice that it gradually becomes easier and easier to let distracting thoughts go. Above all, you will discover the power of colour! Fascinating, isn’t it?
